I purchased these today. Simple makes the soles from postconsumer tire rubber. They use a water based glue that isn't toxic...and there's more. But they aren't the only ones, Teva also has a new line of sustainable shoes. It looks like Keen also has a sustainable line but I'm having trouble finding it. It's not on their website but I did find it at REI.
