This is the orange crocosmia in our back yard that we rescued from the old house. There are also some red 'Lucifer' variety in the front of the house that are about to open up. Heidi and I both really like these flowers. The intense color, the long arching stem, and even the seed pods left over when the blooms are gone really make it beautiful. The sun was hitting this one blossom making it shimmer, something I hadn't noticed before (you can see it in the large version).

More Flowers
This is the orange crocosmia in our back yard that we rescued from the old house. There are also some red 'Lucifer' variety in the front of the house that are about to open up.
